GRADUATION DAY

Mortons

I wouldn't give up anything for the 3 years spent in TP. It had been a fulfilling journey for me. The people that I met, the friendships that were made, the wonderful teachers that taught me and lessons that I have learnt will always remain a part of my life. Honestly, I miss those times very much. Every morning I would wake up feeling happy and motivated to go to school, partly due to the fun I had in class. The classmates have been nothing short of being awesome and extremely humorous. Inevitably, there were bad times as well but the good times certainly outweighed the bad. Initially my teachers from my secondary school discouraged me from going to a polytechnic as I could have easily entered into a Junior College. Not only that, I received skeptical remarks from people regarding my choice to go to a polytechnic. It was not that I didn't like JC life, I very much enjoyed my time in SAJC  during the first 3 months though I skipped school almost everyday. But I just didn't wanna study things that were irrelevant to what I wanted to do in the future. So I stuck by my laurels and I haven't regretted since then even up to this day.

Now that I am studying in SMU, things are certainly very different. The workload is insane; we have so much of readings to do everyday plus assignments plus projects plus tests. In addition, we are all very involved with school activities because SMU provides a holistic approach regarding our education and student life. Almost every student in SMU are muggers, I swear by that. The school is filled with students studying and revising on Saturdays and Sundays even. Plus I heard that they camp in the library during study breaks before the exams. That's why I have no social life now cause my life is just revolving around school. But the friends that I have made are very very nice people who never fails to help and encourage one another which I am very thankful for. Its not easy to make friends in Uni because of the way classes are scheduled and arranged. So 4 years to go and I am barely past the first. I am keeping my fingers crossed! Upcoming tests starting from tomorrow but the following week is recess week where I can regain a part of my social life and meet up with friends that I have been neglecting not that I want to but I don't have a choice. So enjoy your lazy sunday which is by far my favorite and most hated day of the week. What an irony! Laters.
